=================================================================== SHETLAND SHEEP & SOUTH DOWN "Babydoll" ICELANDIC Cross SHEEP 2019 LAMBIE PIES LEAF HAD QUADRUPLETS. 3/29/19. I was in the barn with her after the first 2 popped out. her last one was slow coming and I was worried. Finally, a scrawny little ram showed up and I had my doubts. Now he "Latte1" is the biggest of them all! I wethered him so he cannot breed and will be friendly. The girls are Bunny, chocolate color, Cream, light cream color and Dottie, black with a white spot on her head. All are big and chunky now doing great. SUGAR BUNS HAD TWINS on April 4th. The ram lamb Chocolate Buns did great but his sister Cinnamon Buns got through the pen divider and was found cold and weak. I milked her mom and warmed her up, brought in the house to care for, vet, meds etc. She lived for only a week but blessed our hearts and became friends with my little new chihuahua who slept with her and played with her. Chocolate Buns moved to be the new stud at my friend Julies house in the next town.

Sad news, while I was in the hospital with a badly broken ankle, my sweet Honey Bun died before she gave birth. The caretaker never called a vet or anyone to help.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This is BUTTONS born 4/12/18 at 7pm. Her momma Sugar Buns was not inclined to nurse her so GUESS WHAT? I am her new momma. Thank the Lord for doggie diapers! I was in an ankle cast at the time. She lived in my bedroom in a crate at night and I was able to hop around to change & feed her. She is eating well and getting silly, hopping over her stuffed bunny and fighting with a bag of diapers on the floor, attacking her honking piggie toy.. Weaned after 2 1/2 months and outside with her family. She moved to a new home with Billie C. August 12th
Here is Acorn! Born March 31st, 2018 from Leaf. His 3 siblings were not as lucky as he. Doing great with mommy, gets into mischief. Goes outside with mom on nice days, hopping around & being silly. He is friendly, loves getting scratched & loved. Went to a farm in NH

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- EWE TRIPLETS from IVY born 4/17/16 2 cream color, 1 black All are spoken for.... We traded a ewe lamb for an unrelated ram lamb who is sweet and likes to be scratched and rubbed. His name is now SUGAR DADDIE. He is so sweet!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- On May 22nd 2016, Darla had her baby, a little ram we named Hercules. She gave birth and ignored him, he was very slow to get up. I cleaned him up, warmed him, got him supplements and massaged him to get him to stand. Selenium, colostrum and milk replacer was given and he started to come around. Was walking and did well on the bottle. Got Bo-Se from the doctor and antibiotics were started. Got great support from the on-call docs, I slept with him nearby to keep an eye on him and take his temp every hour. Nothing was working, he had a high temp, got that lowered, followed all the doctor's recommendations but sadly my little buddy only lasted 6 days. Mama sheep must know..... Hercules was so smart....he used the pee pads on his own, when I told him to go lay down in his hut.. he DID! He was such a love bug. I have a link to our videos when he was doing better. https://youtu.be/4fqybsVjoUo https://youtu.be/3mnMfTQzwTw I still cry over his loss. He made quite an impression on all of us. I planted Lamb's Ears on his grave under my Catalpa tree after we had a memorial for him.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- My Honey Bun finally had her baby! This year we got a girl for the first time from her. My grandson LT named her "Sugar Buns". These pictures are within 10 minutes of her birth. May 29th 2016 She is like a little puppy dog. Follows us around, likes getting loved and petted. 2017 she is still a little sweety, loves scratches and rubs and is so friendly.
History of the Sheep here at the farm ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- My first lamb Meet "HONEY BUN" Born 6/2/13 Died 4/2/18 (birthing issues) PUREBRED SHETLAND LAMB - EWE - at 2 weeks old 6/16/13 Bottle feeding every 3 - 4 hrs, going for poop & pee walks, discovering grass and hay, loves romping & jumping, lives in a soft sided dog house (she quickly grew out of that & the next size, too) Loves her stuffed, red Dr. Seuss Fox. UPDATE late August - She is still sitting in her lawn chair and taking naps in it though her size has more than doubled. We have begun to plan the sheep hut/barn and most of the wood and roofing has been placed on the site. We will be expanding the pen by another 100 feet and hopefully it will be moveable without being "escapable". They just LOVE finding new pastures!
_________________________________________________________________________________ Honey Bun at 4 - 5 weeks She went camping with me and the grandkids over 4th of July week. She was an angel. ================================================================================ MEET Honey Bun's new buddy SEAN 1 week older than Honey Bun. He is doing great with the 2 girlsand has begun to show affection to Honey Bun by kissing her face. He is still wary of me but Iwas able to give him his worming medicine easily once I caught him. He is more polite and has stopped nudging the girls out of the feed bowl. I doubt he will take to a harness but if the girls do well (we are only on day 2 of training) I will attempt the same routine with him. He is a twin.
SEAN - He/s gorgeous! He was a twin, also.
